Beautiful memories 💖 Rode subway, Uber , Sintra train and Uber going there. But it's all worth it. The place is enchanting located on top of the mountain. The view around the area is fantastic. Awesome experience. Loved it.❤
The tickets are good, so you don't have to queue to buy them. For my part, during our visit to Regaleira and Pena, the weather conditions were very unfavorable for viewing. What's more, the 2 parks are set on a cliff, which doesn't help matters. Despite everything, the view remains magnificent and magical. All very nice. However, the transportation service could be better thought out, i.e. from the first gate of the park and not from the 'last entrance-considered also the main entrance. Misled by the wording transportation when one is in Sintra one has to pou consider whether to pay for an extra cab, tuk tuk, or bus because the alternative is to make a 45-minute trek through the woods quite uphill

The Palace was amazing. It was good idea to schedule guests but still we needed to stand on queue whole round inside the castle. It would be good to get more guide sings to the walking path from Pena Palace to Historic Centro. The Park were beautiful ja not so difficult to hike.
We loved the moorish castle but pena palance was extremely overcrowded and and very underwhelming. way overpriced for what it was.
I loved the supportive team. Visiting the hills, going through palace full of stairs with parents over their 80s (one of them with walking roller) is challenging but thanks to amazing and caring staff it was a great experience for us. Kindness and smiles made our time wonderful!
Very well organized. Only downside was the bus wheelchair lift didn't work so we had to carry our daughter onto the bus and then carry her wheelchair. We were able to do it but most families would have difficulty if the person is big.
The bus included was crowded with long waiting time. I paid €10 for Tuk Tuk to take me to entrance. I have mobility issues. Some problem with no barcode with bus. (No internet) Gardens were still recovering from storm with alot closed off. Advised not to go. Why sell tickets to garden without advising od this? I loved the actual Palace. Was glad I was not trying to get there in peak season!
It was a nice view to look down from Pena palace, and the tourist flow control was very organised to have a good experience for visiting palace.
The guys who brought us up the hill said the buses and the small little cars weren't going up so they took us half way but promised a to the door drop off ... I'm pregnant so that was brutal. Also there was zero signage saying the moorish castle was closed so that was again another long walk for me and very disappointing. Pena was nice sad there is so much construction on the outside still since I was here two years ago.
Pena Palace was a great place to see, it was beautiful and well organised. However headlout where we bought our tickets from scammed us into buying an audio tour when it's actually free for everyone. They also charged us for the transport but didn't send us the ticket. All in all I wouldn't book through headout again
Very nice visit The sites are magnificent The instructions for the tickets are confusing, nothing complicated just go to the palace, no need to write more information .

Beautiful buildings and grounds. Glad for the opportunity to visit since last time I was in Sintra the building closed for some conference. Wish they wouldn't allow guided tour visits however since those groups stand blocking access for others and can't get close to read signs in each room.
Once at the park entrance, I took the shuttle to the palace (as it was included in my ticket). But I realised there is a path up to the castle which would only take about 15 minutes walking, so I walked back down instead afterwards (less than 10 minutes downhill). The palace was fabulous, my only negative was that maybe they over sell each slot as not only do you need to queue to enter the palace, whilst inside you are constantly in a queue to see each room.
The castle was in a bad shape and the park also need some refreshing. Sintra old Town was very Nice. The finest castle was the Biester.
Staff rude, need more exit signs. We followed the exit sign then suddenly we were far away and had to walk all the way back up again to exit. I have asthma and it was so challenging to have to walk back up to the palace again. Did not enjoy!

The palace itself is stunning, with intricate architecture and decor, but it’s the grounds that truly steal the show— just beautiful around every corner.
The Park is so beautiful, it's like we are on a fair story. Even if it was raining, it have made a special atmosphere which fit to this romantic place.

I liked it very much, no line and straight to the castle, it's worth it. The only thing is that they do not generate a ticket that you can download by mail, but directly you have to download an app to access them.

The access to the Castle was quick and fluent. But the content of the audio guide was under my expectations. It answered to the question "what do I see and where do I find it", but not to "why it was necessary, what symbols should I look for, what is the meaning behind, how unique and popular were these practices". I dont think it is worth paying extra for it.
It was a great experience. Full of discovery and with many highlights. To be done again and again. I plan to return in the near future. I'd recommend these exotic and atypical places to anyone.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly - lots of stories to add to the tour to make it easy to remember . Unfortunately we do not realize we would not see her again when she was busy directing people up the giralda so we did not tip her - any way of doing that now ? It was the double tour of palace and cathedral at 1pm on Saturday in Seville ( Mariam maybe ?)
The site is well worth a visit, but there were a lot of people and we had to wait in line for the castle despite the queue-cutting tickets. The site is very far from the historic city. So it's best to take the bus or other means of transport.

Overall the experience & tour was incredible. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions plus of course gave us an amazing historical tour surrounding the property. Our tickets were for 4pm & we had to park at the bottom of the mountain - we were late given traffic and we practically ran to get to the designated spot at 4pm. No guide was there - we asked many people finally calling Headout in which the rep was very helpful but told us our guide was "running late" and wouldn't be there until 4:30. We finally spotted him about that time and he told us our booking was 5pm. He took pictures of our tickets clearly stating 4pm - to us this was a huge error as we also had plans following this tour that then were delayed. Also the tour was supposed to be 1.5 hours and was just over 1 hour. Felt we were a bit rushed.
Palace is worth seeing
The guide didn't speak English well, which made it very difficult to understand the stories and explanations she wanted to give us. What's more, the tour was poorly organized. We had to stop in narrow rooms and wait for the guide to explain things that could have been told before or after we passed through. They were full of other visitors who wanted to pass through, which made the experience very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the guided tour wasn't worth it. In addition, the quality of the restoration of the Pena Palace, especially inside, left something to be desired. I noticed wires sticking out, cameras badly embedded in the walls and even some cloths and plastic sheeting scattered around the palace. I believe there is room for improvement.

Our tour guide was knowledgable and passionate about the Portuguese history as it relates to the palace. Was quite enjoyable and brought a lot more interest to visiting the Palace. The only downside of the tour was that the palace was quite crowded and there were some very aggressive tourists around us who pushed us out of the way to get in( no one in our group).
Our guide was passionate and informative and added so much color to the tour. I loved the small group size of eight, and the use of headphones made it possible to hear her commentary without having to huddle in or require her to speak loudly. I also appreciated that being part of the tour allowed us to jump ahead in the line saving a lot of time. It was well worth the money and I recommend it highly. My one caveat is the misdirection about where to meet. My ticket clearly stated it was outside the gate, including a photo with notations and yet the meeting spot was just inside the gate. Had I not read other reviewers having mentioned it, I would not have known to look there.
Instructions on where to park, how to drop off people with disabilities. Way finding in the park needs improving. Better communication with security guards at the gates and guided tour company needs to improve - security guard instructed us to walk the pathway via the lake, not to the meeting point! Too confusing and not helpful for a member of our party who had great difficulty walking the 30minutes up hill to the palace.
Bruno was an amazing tour guide and super hospitable when we were struggling to get back to our car. The tour was amazing, very enlightening and stunning architecture. 100% recommend going and booking with Bruno as your tour guide.
The guide was very informative.
Meeting point was not as indicated. We had trouble finding the tour despite asking many employees for help. We almost missed it. Tour was mixed up with another group and was conducted in two languages which extended the tour time by a lot.
Absolutely nothing on behalf of Headout. The venue and their team were amazing and saved the day. Headout was a major disappointment and I was given incorrect information every step of the way. I followed all directions from Headout and was left feeling helpless in trying to find the guide. All the information given by Headout was wrong and therefore I was unable to find the tour. Only after stressing and using my own problem solving on the situation was I able to join the tour when it was more than halfway over. Things that were "included" in what I purchased, were never sent to me. Including a shuttle ticket from the bottom of the hill to the top where the palace sits. I am requesting that I be refunded for the entire amount of my purchase.

Was a fun day with Adrian. He is very knowledgeable about the palace and Areas that we visited. He did a good job conversing in 2 languages for the day!
The guide was correct. I think the explanations were more than enough. At the beginning of the visit, there is a tremendous chaos, until they decide who gets on each bus. We were 4 people, they told us on one bus that we were not going to get on that bus. It was another one. Finally they made us get on that bus. But everyone had already boarded and we had to put them in the last seats, where the space is extremely uncomfortable. In addition, they allowed couples who were going together to occupy seats in different rows. In the window seat. In short, very bad organization. The experience announced the visit to Quinta da Regalería, which did not happen.

Nice planned trip. Flexible to external issues (running event the same time with our trip). Very good guides!
The tour was really good and we had a really good tour guide who kept the group engaged and on time. Our only complaint about the experience was that the description said we were going to visit Quinta Da Regaleira and we did not go there. Would have been a 5/5 but giving a 4 as we did not visit the Quinta and it was something we really wanted to do.
It was super convenient being chartered around to the top sights. Our guide was super friendly, and knowledgeable. The only thing that brought this from a 5 star to 4 is the confusion with the bus when we got to Pena Palace. Because our group was so large, we had to split it into two groups. The first group of 25 was able to fit on the bus, but our group of 17, was asked to walk since it would likely be another 30 minutes until the next bus. It wasn't a big deal for most of us, but there were some on the trip who struggled with the climb, and our guide didn't slow down. When we got to the top, I had to insist we wait for the other members of our group. The whole thing was a bit chaotic and unorganized. I think it would have made sense to prioritize those with mobility issues first, and ensure they had a spot on the bus first. I also think it would have been nice if our guide had told us there were no bathrooms during the 45 minute tour of Pena Palace, and provide time for us to use it beforehand.
The guide and the tour was super but he left us the bus because the directions were not clear, we had to take a cab for 30 euros to get there. The tour is not clear I thought we were going to go to a lot of places and only went to 3, it said it included wine and cake and they didn't give us anything either.

Very good for metro bus streetcar transport! Easy to use but many attractions are still paying like botanical garden, monastery of saint Antoine... and you have to be able to use it, because some of the best attractions, such as the Belém tower, are inaccessible to the rest of the world, which is a pity, or the Jeronimos monastery, which needs a queue cutter.

The building was beautiful. But we didn't like the way we were led through the rooms in a queue. It was difficult to stay longer in one room at our own pace.

The experience itself is very good and the palace is beautiful. The effort to preserve this work of art is also to be commended. However, there is one major obstacle that hurts most Portuguese people: the price! I'm sorry, but for a family of five adults, having to pay more than 150 euros for a tourist experience, including entrance fees and transportation (bus), is a steep price to pay. Especially with the daily influx of people (our visit was in April). It is not with the foreign public in mind that the Portuguese are encouraged to visit and get to know our culture.

The Palace was amazing. It was good idea to schedule guests but still we needed to stand on queue whole round inside the castle. It would be good to get more guide sings to the walking path from Pena Palace to Historic Centro. The Park were beautiful ja not so difficult to hike.
I got up early, but the lines were almost an hour long to get in. Buying tickets in advance makes no difference in the spring, in both places there were no more than 5 or 10 people buying tickets. In addition, people were cutting in line and the security of the place did not make any control. Incredibly in the Jeronimos the people who were cutting in line were not Latinos but Portuguese and Italians, young people.

We loved the moorish castle but pena palance was extremely overcrowded and and very underwhelming. way overpriced for what it was.
Although I had a ticket and was there early, I waited over an hour and found out that entry to the church costs extra. And on the bar code was a different date than on the confirmation, which made me panic whether I would even get in. It worked but it could have been without the stress. Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of anyone to solve this problem with the date

I’m Portuguese and I walk past the monastery almost every day, yet I rarely go inside because of the long queues. But on this particular day, I decided to wait—and finally visit. I ended up crying like a baby. Tears of both sadness and joy. Sadness for what the monastery represents—colonialism, and all the weight that carries. Joy for its overwhelming beauty, for the effort and craftsmanship that went into creating it, for the way it stands as a reminder of history. I often feel like other cities are more beautiful than Lisbon, but standing there, I thought—my God, look at this place. But what moved me most was realizing that I have access to this beauty for the rest of my life. That my children, and everyone else’s children, can grow up with this around them. I walked through those corridors feeling something I can’t quite explain—safe, at peace, deeply blessed. It was a reminder that some of the most priceless things in life are right here, freely available. And I can go there every single day.
We found the Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon to be very beautiful, in a purely aesthetic sense, and also extraordinary as a Gothic architectural work. The stonework is detailed and beautiful. I must admit that when I went to Lisbon I was unaware of its existence.

A tour of both floors of the monastery was the same price - €40 is too much! The church is half scaffolded, but it was free. We didn't have the pleasure of admiring it all.

Very well organized. Only downside was the bus wheelchair lift didn't work so we had to carry our daughter onto the bus and then carry her wheelchair. We were able to do it but most families would have difficulty if the person is big.
Beautiful places to visit. Plan to go early as there are usually long lineups to get in, even with the tickets bought online.
A magical place, every detail is impressive and the question remains: how did they manage to make something so incredible? Well worth a visit!

It's a magnificent (if somewhat empty) space that transports us to another era. The church was being renovated, so there's nothing to see.

i was not offered any guide of leaflet, nobody told us about the church being colesed... It was very interesting, but I expected more for the money paid
fantastic place ! I liked the feeling of seeing daily life of ancient royals. I enjoyed listening the stories told by some guides along rhe visit. It would be nice to have audio guides with these little stories within the big History. Animations with actors or cinema projections (on walls inside or outside), as welle as ancient music could enhance the magic of the place 😃
