I paid the entrance fee to the palace and the park; and I felt that they sold you air; since the park did not have a specific access; that is, with the entrance to the park you could walk through it without having to pay more.

I had booked tickets for 10.30am. However, the tickets, which I was only able to download the day before the visit, stated 11:00 am as the admission time and we had to wait almost an hour on site. I wasn't informed about the change in time either.
A very pleasant and interesting visit to the site. However, there were far too many people. It would be a good idea to consider maximum gauges per hour and not to exceed a certain quota, so as to be able to circulate more easily and enjoy the visit to the full.

Wonderful tour, we entered at exactly the time agreed and loved the Castle of the Feather and the Moors. All very well preserved.

I have put good to put something because we could not enter to see the castle as we had to return to Spain for an emergency so we did not visit Sintra.

Castle was wonderfull. I m from Slovakia and I had realy nice experience from a trip to Sintra.I will only recomend to my friends to visit Portugual next time.😉🤗!
No issues at all. Arrived and it was a quick walk up the hill, maybe 15 mins and then had time for a coffee before our entrance time. Great experience!
The palace is beautiful! We felt like we were in a fairy tale. We will definitely come back to this place someday! The amazing architecture combined with the interiors enchanted us.
Really beautiful. The language to "redeem" was a little misleading as I thought we would need to swap for physical tickets at the gate but it was really easy and they scanned us in. Would appreciate a senior option but definitely easy and recommend. Went on a Monday at 10:30 on a cloudy day and there was no line to get inside the palace.
An incredible experience, from start to finish. Starting at the palace and ending in the park. You can spend a whole day here discovering all the trails that extend throughout the park, nature at its best.

The palace was great and the grounds lovely. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I bought the ticket for the palace and transportation and learned that it was for transportation within the park, not to the park. I did not see one bus to help get us to the palace and was told it would be a half hour walk - it was more like 10 minutes. Would have loved to have seen more of the park but just couldn't find that bus anywhere.
Palacio da Pena, very nice but the way to walk to the top is horrible. Better to park the car and take a cab or tuctuc. Quinta da Regaleira is also worth a visit. Very nice all around. For me the worst thing is the private cars that you don't know where to park them.

The palace was pretty, but not near as pretty as others I've been to. The audio guide did not sync with the venue and I had a hard time getting it to talk about where I was standing.
I recommend booking with Headout, it makes the process as easy as possible. The experience was absolutely incredible. From the Palace of Pena to the Chalet of the Countess, including the incredible trails in the middle of the park. Here we found nature at its best. It definitely deserves a long visit as there is so much to see inside the park.

Rich in culture and vast enough to explore at my leisure. However some parts of the park weren't clearly sign posted. This makes a difference when you're a bit tired. You wouldn't want to be going in the wrong direction at that point 😀
Experience was fab but need to warn people to leave along time between each place they visit in sintra and recommend which order as much of the route is one way
ticketing was easy. It's a beautiful place to visit inside and out. While the park was beautiful, even in early November, we struggled to get back to the 'exit' or bus stop because the signage and maps weren't really in sync so it took a lot longer than we wanted and we often came to intersections, whether on a trail or on a park 'road' and we couldn't figure out which way to go. And in finding what looked like a landmark...a fountain or pond, we couldn't find it on the map we were were referencing on our phone.
Unfortunately, being a rainy day with a lot of fog, we were not able to see the outside beauty but only the inside

Loved the entire experience at the Pena Palace. Glad we got the tickets with transport included - wouldn't haven't been easy with two kids. The gardens are an absolute beaut! Not only does Pena Palace look like its from a fairytale, the whole place has a rather magical feel to it!
2 must-see historic sites in Sintra .... Too bad the sun wasn't out... and the shuttle bus fare was excessive at €4.50 one way (there's no such thing as a return ticket); we found the Pena park badly signposted (we got a bit lost) ...

The venue was wall-to-wall people. I felt like I was in a cattle drive. You moved a few inches and then wait a few more inches and then wait. The buildings were beautiful, but it was way too crowded.
The timed tickets are stressful as it doesn't start at the gate but a 10 minute hike from the gate and everyone starts lining up half an hour early. Unfortunately we didn't know this and almost weren't let in but the security made the exception and I'm so glad he did because the palace is absolutely incredible! Best part of the whole Lisbon trip

Audio-guide for regaleira worked the download in the application was done the day before, no problem. On site, the audio guide route was not very logical or coherent, making you go back and forth.... It was impossible to download the audio guide for the Pena Palace. The day before, it was open, but only for consultation. Once there, it was impossible to open it. I find the audioguide service expensive, so I couldn't use it, especially as the site offers an equivalent service for 1€! When making a reservation, especially for a package, it would be a good idea to give an estimate of how long it will take to get there, and to insist on this point before buying.

Very nice pena palace. Application is very difficult to use. We didn't manage to use the audio guide. The wifi at the pena palace was almost useless. Bus 434 and 435 very poorly explained. Too many people. However, I loved my visit.

The tickets for Pena were confusing, it said they were PDF tickets but they would not open. We also booked the shuttle to and from the gate for four people and they were 8 barcodes, which seemed like they were only for the shuttle. It ended up that the barcodes were for shuttle and palace but it took an hour over chat to learn this. The support team was slow and not understanding. They kept forwarding the same broken link for the pdf tickets instead of telling me the barcodes for shuttle and palace were the same. Also, I paid for 4 audio guides and only one download worked.
The attraction was good. Lovely walking through the palace and especially the gardens. We purchased tickets which included audio but the audio used at the Palace was completely different to that of Headout. We then had to purchase and download the app used by the Pena Palace website.
It is so magnificent. The interior with the beautiful rooms. Just splendid. Only issue was the traffic plus the time to get thru the gardens. I think you should mention thst they should start at least 1 1/2 hrs before your ticket entrance time. It took us 55 minutes on the bus to get up there and the to walk thru the gardens.
Smooth purchase process. The problem is that the audio guide was only available in English. Apart from that, the audio guide, which was from CLIO MUSE, did not appear in the application that already had it downloaded. We had to open it through the web browser.

The ticketing and entrance were seamless. However, the audio guide had to be purchased on site and an app had to be added to our phones and after all that effort and the small extra charge it just diidn,t work well. We were better off reading the placards at each part of the exhibit! All said, It is a beautiful, historical place . We enjoyed our time there.
Everything was amazing , but above of all the valet parking staff was more than great!!
The place is charming. Touring the castle and its park is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

If you have a ticket you have to wait a reasonable amount of time. I find the change of fee for having access to the audio guide exaggerated. The gardens are very beautiful We stayed in the grounds for more than 2 hours.

It is a beautiful architectural site with much history. Unfortunately, there were multiple large areas of the palace being renovated and rooms we were unable to see.
We like the rooms we visited in the castle and all the interesting artifacts displayed. The Views from the terrace were amazing The booking process was easy however we did not appeciate how long it wodul take ot get to the Palace from the centre of Sintra. Luckily we got there in time but you could easier get caught out and miss your time slot.
I was charged additional total 10 euros for JUMP THE LINE TICKETS which didn't really work at the site for you still need to line up there at the entrance to get in. For a first time visitor, I would expect that this is a express line for the JUMP THE LINE ticket holder just like any other sites in the States or Europen cities, which is not the case and the 2 persons who arrived the same time paid 10Euro less but entered even earlier . So the question is that what's for additional 10Euro for?
The palace architecture, bright colors, design, decor, historical significance, location ...at the end of a very beautiful hike
I liked the Moorish Castle, but I found the Pena Palace very poorly maintained, with dirty toilets and no hygiene items in general. The access roads also need to be better signposted. Many visitors, like me and my wife, got lost or had great difficulty locating certain destinations, including the exit.

Our tour guide was knowledgable and passionate about the Portuguese history as it relates to the palace. Was quite enjoyable and brought a lot more interest to visiting the Palace. The only downside of the tour was that the palace was quite crowded and there were some very aggressive tourists around us who pushed us out of the way to get in( no one in our group).
Our guide was passionate and informative and added so much color to the tour. I loved the small group size of eight, and the use of headphones made it possible to hear her commentary without having to huddle in or require her to speak loudly. I also appreciated that being part of the tour allowed us to jump ahead in the line saving a lot of time. It was well worth the money and I recommend it highly. My one caveat is the misdirection about where to meet. My ticket clearly stated it was outside the gate, including a photo with notations and yet the meeting spot was just inside the gate. Had I not read other reviewers having mentioned it, I would not have known to look there.
